Inspiration

During my morning ritual of surfing online, I have seen this verse twice. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Have I not commanded you? Be stong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

I feel like I am being given everything I need in order to do what I'm called to do and that support and encouragement are coming from all sides. I've decided that I'm going to absorb it all and let it flow through me so that I can give it to others too.

Welcome! Here's the story behind The adventure!

Hi! My name is Amy Young. My friend James Varnum and I bought a wonderful old building in the Paseo Art District of Oklahoma City in January of 2010. We are renovating it and turning it into a space that we hope will serve the community well. This will be a place for people of all ages to learn about art, music, film, cooking, gardening, sustainable living, dance, literature, and whatever else we can provide. We feel that when people work together and learn from each other, great things happen. It's good for you!

We have been learning so many lessons about how to make this happen and have many, many more in our future but we see it as an adventure and a blessing to work toward this dream. We hope you'll follow along and join us when we open our doors. In the meantime, eat your veggies, be good to yourself and those around you. Oh! And don't forget to take a walk or ride a bike every now and then! Life is full of simple blessings that add up to a whole lot of fun.
