Sir Ken Robinson

Sir Ken Robinson is one of the people on the Advisory Board for the Blue School and he's coming to Oklahoma!!! I would really like to meet him. A board I'm on is talking about bringing him in a little early when he's already supposed to be here in November for the Creativity World Forum. We want him to give a talk at the Museum for leaders and educators. I don't know if it's going to work out or not, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Anyway, here he is and I love what he has to say....

Welcome! Here's the story behind The adventure!

Hi! My name is Amy Young. My friend James Varnum and I bought a wonderful old building in the Paseo Art District of Oklahoma City in January of 2010. We are renovating it and turning it into a space that we hope will serve the community well. This will be a place for people of all ages to learn about art, music, film, cooking, gardening, sustainable living, dance, literature, and whatever else we can provide. We feel that when people work together and learn from each other, great things happen. It's good for you!

We have been learning so many lessons about how to make this happen and have many, many more in our future but we see it as an adventure and a blessing to work toward this dream. We hope you'll follow along and join us when we open our doors. In the meantime, eat your veggies, be good to yourself and those around you. Oh! And don't forget to take a walk or ride a bike every now and then! Life is full of simple blessings that add up to a whole lot of fun.
